Haven Paediatrics was established to give Brisbane families access to thorough, unhurried specialist care — in a space as calm and considered as its name suggests.
Founded on a passion for better paediatric care
Haven Paediatrics was born from Dr Erin Norman’s conviction that specialist paediatric care in Brisbane could — and should — be done differently. After more than a decade working across public and private hospital settings, she recognised that families navigating complex or ongoing paediatric needs often found the system fragmented, rushed, and difficult to navigate.
Haven was designed as the answer. A private specialist practice where appointment times are protected, where no concern is too small, and where families aren’t passed between providers without clear continuity. Every detail — from the clinic environment to the way consultations are structured — has been considered with that goal in mind.
Today, Haven Paediatrics serves families across greater Brisbane, offering specialist care from the newborn period through to adolescence. Whether your child is here for a routine developmental check, a complex ongoing condition, or something in between, the experience is the same: calm, thorough, and family-centred.

A message from our founder
Dr Erin Norman is a FRACP-qualified Specialist Paediatrician with over a decade of clinical experience working with children and families across Brisbane’s public and private health sectors. She completed her medical training in Queensland before undertaking specialist paediatric training through the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, graduating as a Fellow (FRACP).
Throughout her career in public paediatrics, Dr Norman developed a particular passion for the early years — the newborn period, infant growth, and the critical developmental windows that shape a child’s long-term wellbeing. She also developed significant expertise in the assessment and management of neurodevelopmental conditions, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, developmental delay, and learning difficulties.
Dr Norman founded Haven Paediatrics to create the kind of specialist practice she had always wanted to work in: one where patients are never rushed, families are treated as genuine partners in care, and continuity is built into everything. She sees children from birth through to 17 years of age, with a particular focus on cases where an integrated, longitudinal approach makes the greatest difference.
