Dr Jessica Koentjoro is a Specialist Paediatrician with subspecialty training in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, providing expert care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents. She is passionate about delivering timely, specialist assessment of acute and emerging health concerns, helping families access high-quality paediatric care when they need it most.
With extensive experience managing children with acute illnesses and injuries, Dr Koentjoro is passionate about providing quick access to specialist paediatric care in a private clinic setting.
Dr Koentjoro has particular interests in newborn and infant health, acute childhood illnesses, feeding and growth concerns, respiratory conditions, and the early assessment of new or unexplained symptoms. Known for her calm, approachable manner, she partners closely with families to ensure they feel informed, supported and confident in their child’s care.
In addition to outpatient paediatric care, Dr Koentjoro provides private neonatal services and birth attendances, supporting newborns and their families during the important first hours and days of life. Her expertise in neonatology allows her to deliver comprehensive care for babies requiring specialist assessment following birth.
Dr Koentjoro trained across Queensland’s leading children's hospitals and tertiary centres, gaining extensive experience in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, General Paediatrics, Neonatology and Paediatric Intensive Care. She continues to hold a public appointment as a Paediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow with Metro North Health, ensuring she remains at the forefront of contemporary paediatric practice and acute care advances.
Before pursuing medicine, Dr Koentjoro studied architecture, an experience that shaped her appreciation for thoughtful design, functionality and creating welcoming environments for children and families. Outside of medicine, she founded an aerial arts studio where she also teaches, enjoys reformer Pilates, and values spending time with her partner and family.
